I was exploring a little island/peninsula in the PVCC lake when I nearly tripped over a nesting Canadian Goose (I assume it was the female, but they might take turns). She was well-hidden in the reeds. As soon as I was sure that the male was elsewhere, I started taking pictures. A couple of times she snapped at the camera and hissed, but for the most part she was fairly calm -- or frozen.

I visited the nest several more times and didn't tell anyone where it was, but one day I paid a visit and found the nest scattered and destroyed. Probably a raccoon.
